On Thursday, March 23rd, Blue Run Spirits tells BourbonBlog.com you can tune into a unique event called Draft Day, which is transforming the way private barrel programs are conducted. This innovative approach gives everyone an equal opportunity to select and purchase a Blue Run single barrel through a lottery-style drawing.

Pre-Draft Broadcast: Starting at 6:30pm ET (streamed on Instagram Live)
– Wooden draft tokens placed into the draft barrel
– Live interviews with an in-person audience and Blue Run Spirits representatives
– Behind-the-scenes footage of Draft Day
– Announcements of upcoming releases
Draft Broadcast: Following at 7pm ET (streamed on BlueRunSpirits.com/chosen , Facebook, and YouTube)
– 16 wooden tokens randomly chosen from the draft barrel
– Winning participants announced

Back in January 2023, Blue Run Spirits announced the launch of this revolutionary private barrel program. From February 13th to March 23rd, The Portal, hosted on Blue Run Spirits’ website, collected entries for the chance to win an allocation slot for the inaugural year of the program. Nearly 750 unique entries were submitted, with duplicates removed.
During the Pre-Draft, expect live interviews with the in-person audience and Blue Run Spirits representatives, behind-the-scenes footage of Draft Day, and announcements of upcoming releases. The selected participants will be contacted via email and phone after the Draft and given 8 business days to confirm their barrel selection.
Although the Draft will complete the 2023 barrel allocation, Blue Run Spirits is already preparing for 2024 and 2025 allocations.
