This is the second edition of WhistlePig’s award-winning Boss Hog, which is a 100% rye whiskey aged nearly 14 years in a single barrel at cask strength – approximately 118 to 124 proof.
Only 50 barrels in total will be released. Mortimer was Raj’s pet pig who recently passed and this whiskey is in memoriam.
In this video, Tom and Raj also taste a new 12-year expression finished in used Sauterne and Cognac casks. While no information on the release 12-year-old expression is available at this time, Raj says they may call it the “Old World Series.”
