We’ve been suggesting a campaign for the “Brown Friday” on Twitter @BourbonBlog vs. Black Friday, as a way to recommend of drinking Bourbon and other brown spirits the day after Thanksgiving.
Of course, drinking can lead shopping, and for some of us, shopping can …well, you get the picture.
So we discover a new cocktail by Mixologist Michael Roehr which can work for any whiskey Friday, especially this one!
The Brown Friday
3 oz. Angel’s Envy Bourbon
3/4 oz.Sweet Vermouth
3/4 oz. Dry Vermouth
4 dashes vanilla bitters
1.5 oz. Maple Syrup
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker and float pint glass full of hot water. Let sit for a minute and stir. Strain into martini glass.
Garnish with Chocolate / cinnamon waffle stick, or alternatively cinnamon stick.
