Kahlua Peppermint Mocha Review

A familiar friend on the bars dresses up your cocktail and taste buds for some holiday cheer! Kahlúa Peppermint Mocha flavor steps into the holiday season as a limited edition bottling. Kahlúa tells BourbonBlog.com that it will be available at retail through the holiday season, priced at around $17.99 for a 750ml bottle. Get some while you can, we love it!  Kahlúa Peppermint Mocha is a beautiful balance of 100% Arabica coffee beans shade-grown in the Veracruz region of Mexico, combined with cool peppermint and the decadent taste of dark chocolate derived from the finest cocoa beans. Here is our review of Kahlua Peppermint Mocha with tasting notes…

Spirit: Kahlúa Peppermint Mocha Limited Edition

Distillery: Kahlúa, Veracruz, Mexico – Pernod Ricard USA

Proof: 40; approximately 20% ABV

Color: Standard dark coffee color of original Kahlúa with with some transparency.

Nose: Mint chocolate ice cream, creamy and alluring. I also get toffee notes and Christmas candies that take me back to childhood.

Taste: Simple and brilliant with dark chocolate, coffee and a cold bite of a York Peppermint Pattie. It is sweet, but not overly sweet and well-balanced. It is easy-drinking with a creaminess that actually will make you forget there is even alcohol in this. Undertones of toffee and marshmallow play against the the predominant holiday flavors.

Finish: A crisp breath of minty coolness and chocolate truffle, almost like you are just stepping onto the ski slopes in Switzerland as you snack on Lindt Chocolates.
