Memorial Day Drinks with Bourbon and whiskeys

What can say refreshment  in the sun like these two? Pair them with a Bulleit Bourbon Burger.

Ginger CocktailThe Ginger Julep ’68 Fastback

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz. Ginger Infused Bulleit Bourbon
½ oz. Organic Brown Sugar
¼ oz. Peeled Minced Fresh Ginger
1 ½ oz. Soda Water
1 Lemon or Lime Twist

Directions: Muddle the ginger and brown sugar together until all of the sugar is moistened and nearly dissolved. Add a dash of soda to finish dissolving the sugar, stir in your Bourbon. Finish with ice, soda to taste and a lemon or lime twist.

The Ginger Julep ’68 Fastback brings a warm, gentle heat to the julep cocktail family with an invigorating ginger kick and splash of lime zest.

Rye CocktailThe Bulleit Rye Mint Julep

Ingredients:

1 1/3 oz. Bulleit Rye
1 ½-2 oz. Stirrings Simple Syrup
Fresh mint leaves

Directions: Muddle mint leaves, Stirrings Simple Syrup and crushed ice in rocks glass. Add Bulleit Rye and fill glass with ice. Pour into cocktail shaker, shake vigorously and serve in rocks glass with fresh mint garnish.

The mint julep has been the refreshing spring cocktail icon of the Kentucky Derby since 1938, proving its test of time as a classic and distinguished recipe.

Bruschetta Martini

Bruschetta Martini 2 oz. Gin No.3

1/2 oz. Creme de Framboise
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/4 oz. Simple Syrup
3 Cherry Tomatoes
3 Basil Leaves

Muddle basil leaves and cherry tomato. Add all other ingredients and shake well over ice. 
Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with sweet paprika, cherry tomato a basil leaf. 

Scottish Fruit Tart

The Glenrothes Select Reserve Bottle3/4 oz. The Glenrothes Select Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky
3/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth
3/4 oz. Luxardo Cherry Liqueur
3/4 oz. Fresh Orange juice
1 slice fresh peach (without skin)

Muddle one half-inch thick slice of peach. Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. 
Mix well and strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel and peach slice.
Fruit Tart

Spice and Stormy

Pink Pigeon Rum4 pieces of chopped Pineapple
4 pieces of chopped Ginger Root
1 1/2 oz. Pink Pigeon Rum
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz.  Luxardo Bitters
Top with Ginger beer

Muddle pineapple and ginger root, lemon juice and simple syrup. 
Add rum. Shake well, over ice and top up with a Ginger beer and bitters.

Mint Garden

Mint Garden1 1/2 oz. Chinaco Tequila Reposado

4 pieces Red Bell Pepper
4 Mint Sprigs

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
3/4 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Luxardo Triple Sec

Muddle red pepper and mint. Add all other ingredients. Shake well over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with red pepper slice and mint sprig.
