New Orleans Mixologists create Super Bowl Cocktails

BourbonBlog.com brings you new Bourbon cocktails created by mixologists in New Orleans as the Super Bowl XLVII gets closer on game day!

As we often take you to New Orleans for Tales of the Cocktail for the latest mixology creations, today we’re headed to the big game with Wild Turkey Bourbon!

Ol’ Frisky Whiskey (aka Bourbon Street Bird)

Whiskey Cocktail 2 oz. Wild Turkey 81
1 tbsp. Light Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Very Hot Water
Dash of 100% Pure Vanilla Extract
Dash of Angostura Bitters
1 Satsuma Wedge

Instructions:

Combine all in tin, shake over ice, strain into Brandy snifter.

2 oz. Cointreau
2 oz. Ginger Ale

3/4 oz. Amaretto
Splash of Pineapple Juice

Fourth and Long

Wild Turkey 81 Bourbon 1 oz. Wild Turkey 101
3/4 oz. Wild Turkey 81
1/2 oz. Lemon juice
1/2 oz. Aperol
1/2 oz. Maple Syrup

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients, shake vigorously and serve in a high ball glass. Garnish with a wedge of lemon.

Give em the Bird Blitz

Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon 1 tablespoon fig jam
1½ oz. Wild Turkey 81
¼ oz. Orange liqueur
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
Ice

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into an old fashioned glass over fresh ice.
