Bourbon Classic 2015

Bourbon Classic organizers tell BourbonBlog.com that they will return to Louisville in 2015 on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21 at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.

We attended the first two Bourbon Classic and we were amazed how whiskey enthusiasts and industry professionals were united in a way never seen before in the world of Bourbon.

This first of its kind of event continues to explore all facets of Bourbon education, from production to promotion, and Bourbon enjoyment, from cocktails to culinary creations.  Get “up close and personal” with the industry’s rock stars

Highlights of the Bourbon Classic 2015 will include:

− Bourbon Classic Cocktail Challenge featuring chefs and bartenders
− A general session with master distillers
− Bourbon Classic University educational sessions

Bourbon Classic Louisville

“We always try to put together an experience for those who come to Bourbon Country that they’ll never forget. With our mixture of Bourbon brands, Master Distillers and nationally known chefs, bartenders and authors, it’s almost impossible to find this type of experience in Bourbon Country for the price of admission,” co-founder Justin Thompson tells BoubonBlog.com. “If folks look what we have delivered the last two years, I don’t think they’ll find a Bourbon experience quite like it in an urban setting.”

Highlights of the event include a national cocktail competition, focused on classic and contemporary Bourbon cocktails paired with a chef’s Bourbon-themed culinary complement; a master distillers panel; breakout classes focused on a variety of Bourbon-themed topics; and ample opportunities for the public to sample top brands of Bourbon and Bourbon-inspired products.

The Bourbon Classic was co-founded by Tony Butler of FSA Management Group, an event planning company based in Louisville, and Justin Thompson, Seth Thompson, and Bob Eidson of The Bourbon Review.

Josh Durr Mixology“For the third year running, we’re bringing the broader Bourbon experience to enthusiasts all over the nation,” says Tony Butler, co-founder. “From cocktails to culinary executions, this is a unique event that shows how popular, versatile and prolific this spirit really is—and the special role our hometown plays in its heritage.”

Seth Thompson adds, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in our third year of Bourbon Classic. This event has blossomed beyond our wildest dreams, and it truly captures the essence of bourbon, the soul of the South, and shows the world that Kentucky is a first class culinary destination. Creating something that marries Kentucky to a very unique lifestyle medium is the achievement of a lifetime to our team.”
