“The level of excitement receiving this honor two years in a row cannot be put into words,” Four Roses Master Distiller Jim Rutledge tells BourbonBlog.com. “Many congratulations go out to each and every Four Roses employee – from the distillery, warehousing and bottling operations to the management and administrative staffs. Everyone at Four Roses deserves an equal piece of credit for our success and recognition as an industry leader.”

In addition to the 2012 Whisky Distiller of the Year – America award, Four Roses also received a Highly Commended award for the “Whisky Brand Innovator of the Year – 2012,” based on the private barrel selection program that enables retailers to sample from each of Four Roses’ 10 unique recipes in selecting their own barrel of bourbon to be bottled specifically for their restaurant, bar or package store. The barrels range in age from 8 to 10 years and once a selection is made, the bourbon is bottled at barrel strength.
