Angel's Envy Bourbon BourbonBlog.com‘s review of the new Angel’s Envy Bourbon after the much anticipated 10.10.10 release called the “Expression 10/10.” We are impressed with this new Bourbon as it had an incomparable smoothness and unique character.

This expression is distilled three times and aged a minimum of four years in a new, charred white oak barrel and then finished with an advanced maturation process using two different types of port cherry casks (Vintage and Ruby)

As one of the original pioneers of the premium bourbon and whiskey category in the U.S., Lincoln came out of retirement to create this incredible new bourbon taking into account 200+ years of Bourbon heritage and mingling it with more than 400 years of Port wine heritage. Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson brings more than 40 years of experience, having worked on brands such as Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels.

Here is the review…

Bourbon: Angel’s Envy- First Expression 10/10

Distillery: Louisville Distilling Company, Louisville, Kentucky

Proof: 86.6 Proof, 43.3% ABV

Color: Brilliant Amber

Nose: Cherry, mild honey, toasted nuts with hints of Bubble Yum Bubble Gum (it may sound crazy, but I keep getting this)

Taste: Light yet complex. Fresh and wet grains which are lively, playful on the palette and smooth. A creamy characteristic rounded by cherry, vanilla, and some maple syrup. Slight nuttiness and mild oak.

Finish: Delicate, dry and soft. Dried fruit and Madeira that gently fades.

    This bourbon has been released? I thought it wasn’t quite ready yet.

    I’ve done some digging and this looks like a great new bourbon, and the price for a 750 ML bottle is about 45USD, which is not bad! Looking forward to this!

    Where can you purchase this online? I went to the largest liquor store in my area today and they don’t carry it. Thanks!

    My hubby picked up for me today, so I’m so anxious to go home and try it. My favorite bourbon is Black Maple Hill which is IMPOSSIBLE to find in Florida, but I scored 2 bottles recently from New Mexico. Hope this is as good, I’ll let you know :}
