Kentucky Alcohol Tax Vote Will Happen Soon

I just spoke with Kristin Meadors of Kentucky Distillers’ Association and she tells that the Kentucky House of Representatives could vote on the House Bill 166 this hour. Yesterday, there was a rally to protest at the capitol building in Frankfort. Our bourbon friends including Maker’s Mark President Bill Samuels Jr., Master Distillers like Jimmy Russell of Wild Turkey, Fred Noe of Jim Beam and others emptied bottles of their own bourbons on the state Capitol’s front steps to protest the tax. Hundreds of other representatives from the Kentucky alcohol beverage industry were present for the rally as well. A special thanks to all BourbonBlog.com fans and friends who have made their voices heard, we appreciate hearing from you!
